Always a fantastic experience with a caring staff. Could not recommend them more. Kudos to hygienist Brooke who always does a wonderful job. I just left my check-up appointment and my teeth look and feel great. Thank you!
This practice changed ownership, and since Dr Schertzer and team took it over it has been incredibly unprofessional and disappointing. My family and I were long-time patients who came in for regular checkups and additional visits, yet multiple small cavities were completely missed. Those same cavities have now progressed into large, invasive procedures that could have been avoided with proper care and attention. What’s even more frustrating is the lack of accountability. We have called repeatedly to ask how these issues were missed while we were actively being seen, and no one will return our calls or provide an explanation. This is, without question, the worst dental experience I’ve ever had. Between missed diagnoses, poor communication, and unprofessional management, I would strongly caution others to avoid this practice and look elsewhere for competent, reliable dental care.
Paying for Pain. First, I received a crown despite having pain or complaints. After placement, I experienced severe pain for several days. Because Dr. Schmidt is only in the office one day per week, I saw another dentist twice for bite adjustments without relief and was told they could not proceed further since they did not place the crown. After waiting nearly another week, Dr. Schmidt determined a root canal was needed through the crown, requiring multiple appointments over several weeks. After recovery, I gave Dr. Schmidt a second chance months later for a filling. I was told it would not be near the nerve so I wouldn’t experience anything like I did with the crown. After the procedure, I had ongoing pain and difficulty chewing. Adjustments did not resolve the issue, and I was told the filling was done right, but they could redo it. Across both treatments, I experienced significant pain that was not present beforehand, resulting in lack of sleep, inability to eat or drink normally, days of missed work, and multiple appointments. I declined further treatment and sought care elsewhere. I paid for the crown and root canal. Then received a bill for the filling without detailed explanation. I requested it be waived since it left me in pain / difficulty eating and I would need it redone but would not do so in this office after multiple bad experiences. The request was declined.
Made a new patient appointment for the very next day! Everyone was very nice and made me feel like family. I felt very comfortable as if I’ve been going there for years. They offered me a bottle of water which was nice as well. There are six different rooms. The dentist was very interested in my history and gave me her undivided attention. I told my husband to make an appointment here as well. I think I just found my dentist! COVID INFO: masks are required. They have someone sitting in the front. Your temp is taken and you fill out a COVID questionnaire. You are then taken to the waiting area.
I had the pleasure of being treated by Dr. Merritt at Advanced Dental Arts, and I can confidently say that he provided me with exceptional care. From the moment I walked in, the staff was welcoming, and the office environment was clean and comfortable. Dr. Merritt took the time to explain everything thoroughly, answering all my questions with patience and clarity. His professionalism and expertise were evident throughout my visit. I felt completely at ease during my procedure, knowing I was in capable hands. Dr. Merritt truly goes above and beyond to ensure his patients are well taken care of, and I couldn’t be more grateful for the high level of care I received. I highly recommend Dr. Merritt and the team at Advanced Dental Arts for anyone looking for a knowledgeable and compassionate dentist. I’m already looking forward to my next visit!
I love coming to see the best dentist Dr Schmidt around and the best oral hygienist Weston! If your looking for a great dental office I highly recommend
Went to this dentist during Covid and had them quote me and pre authorize via my insurance a root canal. After the root canal they said my insurance wouldn’t cover it and refused to put my crown on and tried to charge me. I refused to pay because I made sure what the costs were and that I had insurance coverage via them before I had the procedure. 3 years later I still have a temporary crown. This collection not only damaged my credit, but I went to close on a 3 home package I was buying and the lender refused to close because of this fraudulent collection. I called the dentist and explained again happened and they refused to remove it. They discounted it like 15% and I was forced to pay it to close on my houses. I will never do business with them again and recommend you don’t either.
