I am so grateful to have Dr Joy Arend and her fantastic staff for my dental work. Joy is everything you'd want in a dentist, patient, a good listener and communicator. I trust her completely when it comes to caring for my teeth. The work she has done for me has been excellent. She does not push me to have work I don't need. I had a childhood of traumatic dental experiences and Joy has been the perfect cure. She takes the time necessary to help me care for my teeth.

Over the years I have been treated by several dentists and Dr. Joy is the best. She is very patient at explaining what I need to have done and my options, and I never feel that I am being rushed in and out. When I'm in just for teeth cleaning and check-ups, her team does an excellent job as well. I couldn't be happier with my care at East Portland Dentistry.

Going to the dentist can always create anxiety, but since being in the care of Dr. Joy I can rest easy knowing I will be getting the best treatment available. She and her staff create a pleasant atmosphere and the work is thorough. I have been coming to East Portland Dentistry for 3 years now and have had extensive work done. I have been completely satisfied with the experience and the work that has been done. Keep it up!

I absolutely LOVE East Portland Dentistry!! They are so amazingly, wonderful! My whole family goes there and I am always trying to requirt new patients for them. When my youngest daughter was about 3 she had a fear of the dentist. We originally took her to a pediatric dentist thinking that would make her feel better but it didn't. Once we started taking her to East Portland she felt so much better about the dentist. My kids love everyone they works there so much that they insist on coming with me to my appointments even if they don't have one. Everyone there is so kind and caring! They are by far the best dentist around!!!

I would give the highest rating possible to Doctor Joy and her staff. I have been a patient for many years, and have never had a bad experience on my visits. Doctor Joy is highly competent, while being kind and caring at the same time. It's not easy to find someone like that to work on your teeth, but I think you'll be extremely pleased with the qualified service and care you receive. Give it a try!

My family has been seeing Dr. Joy for over 5 years. As a former Gentle Dental patient there is no comparison to the office's quality of service and Dr. Joy's 'realistic' approach towards dental health. From the back of the house to the front of this house I have nothing but great experiences all around. As an extremely inquisitive patient they always make sure that I understand what's going on and what's covered by insurance so that I can make a well informed decision. As an inner SE resident and downtown commuter there are plenty of places that are more convenient but I couldn't imagine going anywhere else.
