iSmile Dental: Dentist in Williamsburg

I’ve been a longtime patient at iSmile Dental Williamsburg and genuinely enjoy my visits with Dr. Rima Portman. She’s an outstanding provider, and her whole team is phenomenal.Never more then a two minute wait to be seen unless it’s me chatting away with Lisa at the front desk. Special shoutout to Lisa at the front desk by the way. She’s patient, kind, professional, and delivers a true white-glove experience from check-in to follow-up. Scheduling and insurance questions are always easy thanks to her and the front desk team. I did have one slightly off interaction with a new front office staff member recently he was a little hard to work with when it came to updating my change of insurance, but that doesn’t reflect my overall experience. Years of consistent, amazing service here — Lisa sets the standard for patient care and high level of customer service .⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. Highly recommend Dr. Portman and the I Smile team!

Did not have to wait more than five minutes and was in and out from my teeth cleaning as quick as possible. Doctor was friendly and took the time to answer all my questions and explain the best course of action going forward. Desk attendant was awesome, friendly and also took time to give advice about what billing would look like. Always a great experience, been coming here for years and they haven’t lost a step.

I was a few minutes late but did not have a long wait. Everyone from front desk to the hygienists and Doctors all create a comfortable environment for the patients and staff. I’ve had a lot of dental work done at I ISmile in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, fillings, caps, etc and the experience was always professional and pleasant

I have never written a negative review but I feel compelled to warn everyone against this dental practice. Not only was my appointment rescheduled 3 times, but the appointment itself (when it finally happened a month later) was filled with recommendations for expensive procedures and equipment that no other dentist has recommended before (mind you, I had no issues when coming in..just a standard cleaning ). The kicker was being told at the end that my dental insurance coverage ($750) would almost entirely go towards this standard cleaning, and that if I wanted fluoride treatment, it would not be covered and cost $50 extra. The recommended treatments would cost $3000, not to mention a referral for a specialist and a $500 night guard (of course they only recommend that you get the one at their practice) Please avoid this money-hungry practice at all costs

I always have a great experience at iSmile dental Williamsburg in Brooklyn. I have been going there regularly for teeth cleaning. Staff is super cordial and quite knowledgeable. The waiting room is super chill and cool. I would recommend!!!

As someone who works in the medical field, I understand how offices operate, which is why this experience was so disappointing. My Invisalign consultation was rescheduled three times. While the office did notify me about the changes, I was never informed in advance that the consultation would cost $200 out of pocket. The fee itself is not the issue, the lack of communication is. I was also only told upon arrival that bringing existing X-rays could help avoid additional charges, which should have been explained beforehand. Upon entering, I greeted two receptionists who were wearing headphones and did not acknowledge me. When discussing pricing, there was visible eye-rolling and loud tongue-clicking while I asked questions, clearly showing frustration that I was seeking clarification. That behavior is unprofessional and unacceptable in a medical setting. Additionally, the office appeared unclean, stained chairs in the waiting area and muddy floors upon entry. I never made it to the doctor because the overall experience at the front desk set the tone. Strong communication and professionalism start at reception, and unfortunately, this visit did not reflect that.

First time and had a great experience. Did a cleaning and whitening same day. I was originally hesitant to go based off a few negative Google reviews, but I will certainly be coming back.
