Oceanfront Dentistry - Drs. White & Heffelfinger

I had a very frustrating and confusing experience at Oceanfront Dentistry. I went in for what was supposed to be a routine cleaning, but was told they refused to provide a regular cleaning because I allegedly needed a "deep laser cleaning" that would cost around $500. They claimed that performing a normal cleaning instead would somehow be considered insurance fraud, which felt very misleading and didn’t make much sense. The whole situation felt like a push toward an expensive procedure that I wasn’t confident I actually needed. Wanting a second opinion, I visited RB Comprehensive Dentistry — and the difference was night and day. Dr. Ellorin and Stephanie were outstanding, extremely professional, and transparent. After a thorough exam, they confirmed that the costly $500 deep cleaning was completely unnecessary, and I received a normal cleaning without any issues. I left feeling relieved but also disappointed by my initial experience. I would strongly recommend being cautious and getting a second opinion if you are told you need expensive treatments right away. Save yourself the stress and consider going to RB Comprehensive Dentistry on Laskin Rd — you won’t regret it.

Dr. White was so awesome! I have huge anxiety going to the dentist and he was so kind, upbeat, lighthearted, and explained everything I would experience before he did it. I felt so comfortable and at ease throughout my entire appointment. Their staff and dental hygienists are amazing too! I can’t recommend Oceanfront Dentistry enough!

So going to the dentist is usually right up there trying to explain cryptocurrency to my grandparents on the "Things I'd Rather Not Do" list. But my dentist? Oceanfront dentistry - Dare I say it... almost enjoyable? The waiting room doesn't smell like fear and regret, which is a huge win. The staff is so friendly, they practically high-five you on the way in. ....Dr. White has a magical ability to wield those terrifying-looking tools of toothy doom with the grace of a concert violinist. They explain everything in plain English, like I'm an actual human being and not just a giant, walking set of molars. They're funny and very likable…the whole staff!! My teeth are sparkling, my gums are healthy, and I left with a smile. So, if you're looking for a dentist who's good at their job, makes you feel comfortable, and might even make you chuckle, Oceanfront Dentistry, is the tooth fairy you've been waiting for.

Just visited for the first time and it was the best experience I’ve ever had at a dentists office! Mary Anne was my dental hygienist, she did an amazing job and made it a priority to make sure I was comfortable and not in any pain during my teeth cleaning. Dr. Heffelfinger was my dentist, he was very kind, funny, and phenomenal at addressing any concerns I had. The ladies at the front desk were very welcoming and efficient at promptly getting me back for my appointment at the time I scheduled for. The office itself is a very nice environment as well, it’s all beach themed which I loved. I am an out of state college student living in the area and have struggled to find a good office the past few years, so I’m happy to say this will be my new place 🙂
