Belmont Family Dentistry

I have had the best experience here! I came in as a patient a year ago when I first moved to Portland. I had a major preexisting problem that needed attention. Dr. Yoon and her team were and continue to be so caring and nonjudgmental, so attentive and explanatory, and I honestly don’t know if I would have been comfortable with anyone else. I’m extremely grateful for the care and treatment I continue to receive. I highly recommend this office and Dr. Yoon specifically.

I cannot recommend Belmont Family Dentistry enough! From the moment I walked in, the entire team made me feel welcomed and respected. The doctors are incredibly attentive—they took the time to listen to my concerns, answered all of my questions thoroughly, and never made me feel rushed. The clinical work is just as outstanding. A truly fantastic, patient-first practice!

I will not be going back to Belmont Family Dentistry which is sad because I really liked Dr. Callan. I have a lot of fear and anxiety surrounding dentistry and she was kind, listened without judgement and was willing to work with me to implement a dental plan I was comfortable with. Unfortunately, the hygienist did none of those things. I would recommend she engage in Trauma Informed Care training to help ensure she can better support patients with dental anxiety and special needs.

I have been going to Belmont Family Dental for years. Dr Tinkle and his entire staff excel in their services. They are advanced in the technology with a focus in making patient care a more efficient and relaxing experience in teeth cleaning and all procedures. For example, I have always been fearful of numbing injections. Dr Tinkle’s injection technique is the best I have experienced. They are quick and less painful than any other dentist I have had. Dr Tinkle and the staff always asks how I am doing during procedures as well. Belmont Family Dentistry cares about their patients. I highly recommend them.

Alana, the hygienist, is fantastic. She’s thorough and kind. Dr. Tinkle is great. I trust his judgement and appreciate the work he has done in my mouth. It’s a good practice with other dentists that can cover for each other. The staff is good with fitting patients in when urgency is needed.

I have only just had my first appointment at Belmont Dentistry, but it was so good I felt compelled to leave a review. I do not love going to the dentist. Everyone I interacted with was knowledgeable and friendly, and no one seemed rushed. Dr. Yoon really took her time to answer all my questions and to give me both short term and long term plans for the concerns I came in with. For an experience that a lot of people don’t enjoy (going to the dentist), this visit was made enjoyable by the care I was given.

I got referred here from a few friends, had been looking for a better dentist/hygienist. This pace has tools/computers I have never seen before.very clean and overall relaxing environment. All of the ladies were incredibly nice and the dentist was so thorough about my teeth/improvement that needed to be done.it was incredibly easy to schedule the next visit, which was my main goal to find somewhere, where it doesn’t take 6-9 months to get in. Highly recommend Belmont dental!
