Word of Mouth Family Dentistry

I used to go to another dentist in Colorado Springs, and thought they were great until they charged me for services that my insurance covers. My husband is a patient here and recommended me to give it a try. I AM SO GLAD I DID! Aside from the regular check ups and cleanings, I knew I had to eventually fix a tooth I lost in an accident, 16 years ago. You may wonder why it took me so long and the answer is no one gave me the answers to all my questions with such patience and kindness as Dr. Donn and the staff here does. They are able to explain things in words anyone can understand. They work with you and for you, and I could go on about the many reasons to make the switch like I did, and become their patient. You can feel the positive energy here, too. Everyone truly working together to help us out. We are moving out of town. But we won’t be changing our dentist! Worth the drive, time and effort to get the type of service these group of people provide!

Had an appointment tomorrow got a Text message and email stating if I don’t respond by noon the spot won’t be held because I had three cancellations in 18 months which they deem excessive. These of course went to spam because they were flagged as phishing. I missed appointments Once for an emergency eye appointment et for my dog who would have lost his eye had I not gone, one for Covid, and one for the flu. I called them and explained each scenario. It’s not like I just didn’t feel like going. Apparently they prefer you all to just get the whole office and everyone in the waiting room sick than reschedule. They wanted a deposit before the appointment despite the fact the insurance I would have updated covers everything entirely. I’m sorry that’s not how this works. If you go here either don’t have medical issues or make it to your appointment even if you have to throw up everywhere because "they have a business to run." Guess I should have just spread the flu that put me in the hospital with breathing problems. They’d rather have money than breathe I guess. Just another greedy place that doesn’t care.

I had an excellent experience at Word of Mouth Family Dentistry. The doctor is incredibly knowledgeable, gentle, and truly takes the time to listen and explain everything clearly. I am a dental assistant myself . My husband does have dental issues and he had an appointment today. I was offered to come back with him. None of the staff knew my occupation. I am very annoyed by the corporate sales techniques that those organizations have made home in our dental world . Corporate sales should NOT be in our dental world as it makes it very hard to trust . You need a , you get a crown . You need a filling, you get a filling . You should not crown a small cavity , but corporate upselling to make money .SAD ……Dr.Mark and his staff were ALL AMAZING! He was very friendly, professional , and very very honest. He spoke to me and my husband as if we were both patients . He took the time to show us and explain each situation. Dr. Donn is fantastic. He's helped me tremendously while not having dental insurance. Especially since I haven't taken care of my teeth for years. I had an old root canal with a crown get infected. I was in awful pain and being new to the area, I didn't have an established dentist yet. I called around to so many different places in my insurance network (United Concordia through Tricare). Dr. Bowen allowed me to text after hours about my emergency and advised me. The staff here graciously worked to get me in as soon as possible. Everyone was kind and very caring. They efficiently looked at the problem and set me up with an oral surgeon immediately, handling all the details for me. I was impressed and extremely grateful for their kindness, efficiency, and expertise. I found my new dentist office.

Absolutely AMAZING experience with Dr. Bowen! I recently had a crown replaced, and everything from start to finish was outstanding. Dr. Bowen and his entire staff were friendly, professional, and made me feel completely at ease. The procedure was smooth, virtually painless, and clearly explained, which I really appreciated.
