Pure Smiles Hawaii - Lisa Whang Shirai, DDS (Dentist in Honolulu)

I've been looking for months for a good dentist. I found one. Dr. Lisa Whang Shirai is an excellent dentist. I was impressed by her knowledge and the way she explained everything in detail about the condition of my teeth and how to make it better. Dr. Lisa Whang Shirai is professional, highly skilled, competent, comfortable to talk to, and a really nice person.

Dr. Lisa and her staff, Bo and Bianca, are truly the best!! I always feel welcome whenever I go there. They treat me like a friend during my appointments while remaining courteous, knowledgeable, and professional. I love how clean my teeth feel after my routine appointments. Dr. Lisa is fantastic at making sure the overall health of my mouth is a top priority. She has spotted things like old fillings that need to be replaced before they fall out or crack and areas in my mouth that need to be monitored. She’s great at spotting problem areas before they become a problem. She lets me know how to maintain my oral health rather than just wait until something goes really wrong and I have a big problem. I feel confident that she has my best care in mind. She’s great at fixing cavities, putting in crowns, and even implants. The results always seem better than the original. The best thing about seeing Dr. Lisa is that she thoroughly explains what’s going on in my mouth. She shows me my X-rays and explains my options. She makes me feel completely comfortable while she’s working on me and I don’t have to worry if the job will be done right. True professionalism at its finest.

Dr. Lisa Shirai is one of the most patient, knowledgeable and attentive dentists I have seen. She has a very warm personality that always makes me less anxious and more comfortable for my dental appointments with her. BTW, her assistant and front desk staff are doing a great job too. I would recommend her to my family and friends.

Dr. Lisa is the best dentist ever! She makes me feel very at ease during any procedure. She will go above and beyond to make sure I get the best possible treatment for my specific problem. I would highly recommend her and I no longer fear going to the dentist. In fact, I love getting my teeth cleaned!

I have visited Pure Smiles Hawaii for two years for cleanings, fillings, and crowns. Dr. Shirai is very friendly, professional, and patient. She did a very nice cleanings and fillings on my teeth and I don't need to worry about tooth decay any more. I also have two crowns from Dr. Shirai and she was very patient in adjusting and fitting, so my both crowns are comfortable and beautiful.
