Pediatric Dental Group and Adventure Vision

I was not expecting much to be honest, however, I was extremely impressed with the care at Pediatric Dental. My daughter had traumatic experiences at other pediatric dental offices, but here everything was wonderful — she actually enjoyed her treatment, and I could not believe it! Special thanks to Brenda and Dr. Mak for making both my daughter and me feel calm, safe, and well cared for. They were incredibly gentle and the treatment took much less time than expected. We will definitely be back, and I highly recommend this place.

They are horrible about giving accurate quotes for basic work being done. On 3 different occasions we paid the estimate and then were billed twice as much. On our last and final visit which was the last straw for me. Everyone reassured me everything was covered for both of my girls on this visit scheduled at the same time for all routine checkup stuff. No work, just their annual checkup. I confirmed when I made the appointment and when I checked in. I was NEVER told that I needed to ask every person that came in the room if they were in network. They sent one doctor in for one child, covered the entire appointment. Then a different doctor, who was out of network in for the other child and my insurance denied the claim. When I tell you they totally dropped our family, they refused to call me back EVER regarding this matter or a cost on work that needs done for said child. Which I thought was odd, now I know they realized their mistake and didn't want to deal with me. Of the many calls I've made the last lady said there's nothing they could do that I had to pay the bill, even though they admitted it was their mistake by sending in a doctor that was not covered. They truly don't care about people, just money. They billed and covered everything for one child and not the other for the same visit,same services, same insurance coverage.

My kiddo had to be sedated and the team was INCREDIBLE. Danessa was so calming when she saw I was anxious and she also came out to tell me absolutely everything that was going on. Yelena put him to sleep and kept him super comfortable and calm the whole time. Avery was so sweet, reassuring and kind to him and myself. Gaby was SO amazing in recovery. She stayed with us every second until we left. I cannot recommend this team and office enough.

Tammy was wonderful! She was so kind, patient, and great with my child, making the visit easy and stress-free. You can tell she truly cares about the kids and her job. Such a great experience thanks to her!

My son needed to have an extraction and Wiiaca was very friendly and professional. She made sure my son was comfortable and calm and she made his visit pleasant. I highly recommend her!

Dental hygienists and dentists are great! My only issues were the long wait, it felt sort of like a cattle call. Also the lobby was VERY dirty. The floor, windows, etc. The actual dental office is clean and welcoming but I would recommend a deep clean. My daughter had a morning appointment and it was clear that this was days and days worth of dirt. Despite the initial appearance, we will be back.

Wonderful experience at the PDG-Utica practice! The team creates such a warm, welcoming space where kids are clearly the top priority. OM Steven was fantastic—professional, caring, and truly committed to making every child feel comfortable and cared for. Highly recommend!
