Star Dental Practice

This was my first time here as my provider changed. I was greeted cordially and the doctor came out as well letting me know they will see me soon. My last dentist, same area, was very difficult except the X-ray tech. I was in and out for an exam and cleaning. Happy

Came few years ago. Dentist was suppose to fix my tooth with root canal. Abscess grew on and off right on my gum of that tooth for two years. Went to a new dentist and they showed me x rays of the work done. Nerve wasn’t killed, root canal was stuffed horribly and not even stuffed correctly. Absolutely horrible experience! Oh and at the end of my initial dental visit when they were shaping my "filling" I saw the dental assistant roll her eyes because the dentist was taking too long to shape it. Would recommend this place to my enemies.

At the age of 54 I have all of my teeth wisdoms included. I recently had a filling fall out, went to Star dental and was told I need a root canal. I don't need a root canal at all it can be filled that's what my insurance said also. They are so busy trying to get extra money from me and insurance. I would owe $1k out of pocket if I did. not to mention the out of office orthodontist list they gave me for the root canal was even more money. A G for a crown for a procedure I don't need. Won't be coming back.

I've been there twice so far, and Star Dental is quite simply a cut above my previously used practice. The office is clean and well kept, both the admin staff and hygienists were friendly and actually helpful (not something I'd experienced at my previous clinic) and Dr. Chen is extremely professional and friendly. He's very fluid in his movements, and for me that helps me to relax; it shows confidence and poise. They have been very honest and up front; at no point did I leave feeling like I had been over diagnosed. At my previous practice, I was told a tooth would need a root canal (examined and re-examined by two dentists) and he was able to take care of it with a filling! Finally, and this is a HUGE plus, the wait time is almost non-existent! It was not uncommon to wait 45 plus minutes after my appointment time at the previous practice! I have nothing but positive words for Star Dental Practice!

I have a real painful access in tooth that the doctor says it needs a root canal. They take many exrays, they,give a quote. Mindyou this dentist knows I'm in lots of pain in my jaw and whole right side of my face then says make an appointment and they can't get me in for 10 days! This is horrible. If you have kaiser medical they assigned me this dentist through there kaiser senior advantage program.,..It's as if I might as well be on welfare for this it also seems everyone there has little experience and it's not easy to get information about what and why they are doing to you. I don't know what to do except hang in there . If your a senior citizen on social security Medicare and a pension that puts you just above poverty this is what it get you. When I worked and had dental coverage my dentist would make available his services if I had an emergency. Not these folks

A few years ago, they set me up for an appointment on veterans day, just a regular cleaning. Their automated system confirmed, and I (a veteran) showed up. They didn't and never even called me back. Their texting system had my number??? My new dentist and I laughed

If I could give negative stars I would. I paid over $4000.00 for 6 crowns. Just to find out later the should have been covered by my insurance. Especially since they are in the front of my mouth. Plus his other office takes denti-cal which I have and they would have covered the treatment. So if you like wasting your time and money go here. Oh btw. I had to have another dentist fix his mistake on one of the crowns. MONEY HUNGRY!!!!
