If you have any past PTSD or anxiety around dental offices, this may not be the right fit for you. This practice is part of a larger network under PDS Health, with multiple offices across St. Louis. I’ve visited a couple of their locations, and my experience has been a mix of highs and lows. Pros: Billing is straightforward and easy to navigate. I’ve also had two dentists here who were truly incredible—skilled, compassionate, and made me feel at ease during appointments. Cons: The staff turnover is extremely high. Unfortunately, I’ve lost both dentists I really trusted, and in the process, I’ve also had a few negative experiences. Because of the constant turnover, it often feels like you’re starting over as a new patient each time. There’s very little continuity in care. Another challenge is the rigidity of policies—if you want to skip something like X-rays for a single visit, they get really pushy about it. Lastly, calling the local office can be frustrating. Most of the time, you’re routed to a corporate call center that can’t actually help with specific needs or questions. If you’re looking for a more personal, relationship-based dental experience where the staff knows you and your history, this isn’t your place.

Our experience here has been great! We wound up following Dr. Cooney here when he switched locations. He already knows how we feel about him from bragging to him many times. Thank you for having the expertise to make care of our family's teeth so effortless! The staff are kind and respectful and ALWAYS friendly. There has to be happy drops in their water. Lol

Dr. Cooney and the entire staff are amazing! So friendly and nice and it put me at ease. I got a cavity filled 2 weeks ago and didn't feel a thing. I got a root canal and crown done today and it went so smoothly! Couldn't have asked for a better procedure. I am so grateful I found them!

I brought my son in for baby teeth extraction and when I say, it was the best experience ever. Bre and Dr. Cooney were done so fast and my son was feeling so much better. The procedure was done in minutes. Doc made sure to answer every question and was so helpful. Ten stars!

This is must go to dentist. I’ve graded customer service and the doctors had the best customer service I’ve ever seen at a dentist in the U.S.A while traveling. The best dentist visit of my life! Great customer service. Casey cherishes her staff and you can tell due to their care for you! Tears!!! You won’t go wrong coming here!!! Also, I came with an injury and they were very encouraging!!

In February 2025, I acquired an abscess in a tooth. Unfortunately, our former dental group was no longer in-network, so I had to switch to a new group. Given the timing and the painful abscess, I went where I could get in, and that was my first mistake. Over the course of five months, I saw a dentist at Francis Park Dental Group and Rock Hill, as well as their St. Peter's location, all part of the SMILE Generation Network. I had a tooth that required an extraction and an implant, but their diagnosis was far more extreme; they went as far as telling me that all my teeth were loose and that I required much more work before they would complete the implant. Scare Tactics, and I fell for it! In July of 2025, I was to have the first half of my mouth, from my understanding, deep cleaned and scaled on the left side. On that day, I am not sure what they did, although I can tell you it was the most painful experience I have ever encountered with dental work. I paid nearly $1700 up front for the left side of my mouth, with them assuring me that insurance would cover the rest. A few days after the procedure, their Rock Hill office called to inform me that they had not received preauthorization to proceed and that I now owed them another $ 1,500. They also requested that I track down my periodontal records from over 20 years ago, which is impossible to do. They bought the cart before the horse, and when I clearly understood that the work they were performing was neither necessary nor approved by both my dental plans with Delta, I canceled the procedure for the right side. They then said they would deep-clean the gums, after which we could proceed. I canceled that too and immediately found a new dental group. Since that time, I have been assured that my teeth are not all loose and that whatever they did in July was likely not required. I have also found that they charge nearly twice as much as Southwest Oral Surgeons for bone grafts, which is unacceptable. I have researched the group and found that this corporation operates a network of offices using scare tactics, an ongoing "extra"smile-generation credit card to trap customers into inflated dental work and interest charges.
