South Milwaukee Family Dental

I love South Milwaukee Dental! They are so friendly. Unfortunately, I moved away and can no longer use them. It is so disappointing because they do a thorough job and do not over treat. I really appreciate all of the help they have given me along the way - including managing a difficult crown and my insurance being jerks. I highly recommend them!

I was looking for a dentist closer to home. NowI need root canal because this dentist gave me a deeper filling instead of a crown like I fellt like I needed at the time. They said it was because of insurance. But I'm not sure what to believe between the office staff and these reviews. I showed up to my last appointment there - and they told me the dentist I was seeing was no longer there. I'm not sure how they say they're a family dentist either. The one dentist there is not interested in what you care about her practice. And it shows! My wife will be finding a new dentist too. Not sure what took her so long.

Today was my first appointment at South Milwaukee Family Dental. I was greeted in the kindest friendliest manor. Everyone was super, helpful and made sure I was totally comfortable and that any questions I may have would promptly be addressed. Highly recommend! I saw Dr Amanda Berndt. She is my new favorite Dentist!

Wonderful 1st visit. Very professional, friendly, and easy. I have had the same dentist for 40 years. A change in insurance sent me here. Very pleased with the entire staff.

I sent all my insurance information ahead of time (many days before) my appointment. I even asked when I came in to the front desk if they had my new insurance and I was told yes, all is good to go. About 5-7 min later she comes up to me in the waiting room and says my new insurance has a one year waiting period so the appt would cost $133 or else I can’t be seen. I paid the money and continued with appt. No other issues. My point is that it would have been nice to have this all resolved ahead of my appt because all I had to do was make a call to the insurance (which I didn’t have the time to do at my appt since the hygienist came out to get me) once I talked to insurance they were able to waive the waiting period. So all of this could’ve been resolved ahead of time when I tried days prior to my appt. and I never would’ve had to pay the $133. Now I have to wait and try getting this $133 credit once the claim goes through. It’s just a big headache that could have been totally prevented.

Had such a good first appointment here! Office was very clean and staff was very welcoming. My hygienist Stephanie was amazing and I had an all around comfortable experience.

Everybody was very pleasant to work with, from the person that updated my insurance information at the front desk, to the dental hygienist who explained each step of the process, which I thought was fantastic, and my dentist who is always focused on my dental health and answers my questions completely.
