Bright Now! Dental & Orthodontics - Portland, OR

1-Bright, clean and open space with room for growth (not sure they're looking to hire though). 2-Phenomenal Dentist, friendly dental asst I arrived early a half-hour early my appointment as a new patient as instructed and was told by the front desk that everyone was at lunch so I should wait. While I waited a few people arrived and my presence was not acknowledged. I went to the desk, told them I was new and needed to fill out paperwork. I was then handed the forms. Just before my appointment time I was greeted by the dental asst. She took my xrays and made sure I was comfortable. Kind and friendly. I saw then escorted to an expansive back portion of the offices/exam rooms & greeted by the hygienist. The hygienist graded my gums, examined my teeth and then left. Also friendly. Dr. Sahuon then came in to examine my teeth/gums & to chat with me about expectations, possible routines for ensuring dental health and educated me on some tactics. Thorough, kind, informative, knowledgeable and friendly. I did not actually get my teeth cleaned at my first appointment because the hygienist was fully booked. I had to go back to the front desk and schedule an appointment for a month later. All in all, good experience, the front desk experience could have been better, but maybe it was a function of the time of day 🤷🏽‍♀️

I rarely leave reviews, but this experience has been so frustrating and drawn out that I feel obligated to warn others. Bright Now completely mishandled my partner’s partial, and the consequences have been ongoing for months. What should have been a straightforward process turned into a painful, stressful ordeal. The fit was clearly wrong from the start, yet our concerns were brushed off or minimized instead of being taken seriously. Multiple visits later, the issue still wasn’t properly resolved. My partner has been dealing with constant discomfort and pain because of their work—something that should never happen with a properly fitted partial. Eating, speaking, and even just getting through the day have become unnecessarily difficult. It’s incredibly disappointing to trust a dental provider with your care and end up worse off than when you started. What’s most upsetting is the lack of urgency or accountability. We kept hoping each appointment would finally fix the problem, but instead it felt like we were stuck in a cycle of temporary adjustments and no real solution. I would strongly caution anyone considering Bright Now Dental to think twice. Dental work is not something you want done halfway or incorrectly, and unfortunately, that’s exactly what we experienced.

Office manager was VERY unprofessional. I was overcharged and my insurance company said they need to reimburse you. The office manager said she didn’t have time to talk to my insurance agent after I got an agent on my phone so I then put Delta Dental agent on speaker. Office manager then came out and was yelling over everyone to talk to my Delta Dental agent. Office manager said claim wasn’t processed and that it was only $300 overcharge not $860 - Delta Dental said the claim processed on the 22nd- out of pocket was only to be $668.00 office manager then walked away saying she was not going to be refunding me. My Delta Dental agent could not believe what she was hearing and said she was sorry I was in this situation. Delta Dental HMO- Bright Now Dental has been horrible!!! Been stuck with them since my oldest is in braces. NEVER again… Kaiser was 100 percent better in so many ways. And my sons tooth- he’s been in pain since the root canal which was over two weeks ago- I’m giving it a few days (dentist just drilled down the crown today) if he’s still in pain in a few more days I’ll be paying out of pocket for a dentist…which I should not have to do.

This place is horrible. Customer service is BAD. They quoted my friend 2 months in advance and then 90 minutes before her major procedure, they told her it would be DOUBLE what they quoted because "they forgot to add something to her bill". I’m also sitting in the lobby listening to a front desk lady belittle a patient who drove 3 1/2 hours for an appointment, only to be told she was there for a re-exam, not the appointment they told her she was getting. And they quoted her $250 a tooth, now saying it’s $2000 per tooth. The front desk lady has ZERO sympathy or basic customer service skills. Literally raising her voice at the patient who is crying. When the patient walked out, the front desk staff laughed behind her back. I would give this place a -100 if possible.

This dentist pulled a huge bait & switch on my husband. Gave us an estimate and then wanted to charge 3x the amount when he showed up for his appointment. Said the estimate was a mistake with their system. When he canceled the appointment rather than pay the new price, they said he had to pay $75 for canceling!!! Total scam.

Was told I was booking an appointment for Wednesday. Got on a plane, got text that it was Tuesday. Was on business trip. Monday came and holiday so couldn’t change appointment, called early Tuesday, "That will be a $75 cancellation fee" Wonderful service…sarcasm intended.

Extremely unprofessional. I’m an existing patient and they already have all my information on file, but they refused to transfer it into their new system and demanded I re-enter everything or have my appointment canceled. Their response was dismissive and included a message in ALL CAPS like they were shouting: "REQUIRES EVERYONE," "NEW FORMS." Making patients pay for their system change is a stupid business move, and treating us this badly is unacceptable. I won’t be returning and will find a dentist who shows basic respect.
