My 8 year old daughter got her tooth extracted from here, done by Dr Rickerby. Dr made her feel so much at ease with his gentle and warm nature. She was calm and had no fear with the extraction. His assistant was great too. Definitely going back here. Love this place. Thank you for the wonderful service and to the wonderful team.

I went to Journal Square Dental during late February and early March 2026 and met Dr. Haig Rickerby and the staff. It was an incredible experience, with unparalleled professionalism, deep knowledge and thorough, exhaustive diagnostics and information sharing. The atmosphere is extremely friendly and comfortable with an excellent, guiding environment, welcoming and reassuring. I was met with incredible, unparalleled expertise, and the dental care was genuinely gentle. You will feel welcomed and glad that you are in good hands. The work on my teeth is aesthetically amazing, surpassing all my expectations, including the routine procedures. The doctors and all the nurses I’ve met here are beyond extraordinary! Not only are the results remarkably aesthetic but the speed of treatment is also excellent! I was also provided guidance, with pinpointed strategies and recommendations at my own pace. The knowledge sharing was always helpful and tremendously useful! I wholeheartedly recommend Dr. Rickerby and the staff to anyone looking for the best dentist and the best dental experience you can find, especially in the Jersey City area.

This dental clinic offers outstanding service with friendly and experienced staff. The procedure was smooth, painless, and handled with great care and professionalism throughout.

Don’t go here for comprehensive exam. Even if it’s covered under insurance, they will add an extra procedure not covered under insurance (in my case extra X-rays) last minute before your appointment that is not needed. I even showed my panoramic extra taken few months ago but the doctor said "No. We would need individual ones for better diagnostics". This when I had called them before hand to setup the appointment a week early and given them insurance details and confirmed the exam is fully covered under my insurance. They are just trying to scam people into paying more, at the last minute

Dr . Rickerby and staff at Journal Square Dental are the best! They are professional, attentive and great at communicating with you and not at you.. I’ve always had a wonderful experience with no issues. I highly recommend anyone looking for an amazing dentist and staff to check them out. If I could, I would give 10 ⭐️!!!!

Overall a good dentist, they did my crown for a tooth that had been chipped but the Doctor I believe Rickerby is extremely rude, I get everyone’s humor is different but he’s way too entitled to say whatever he wants I don’t like him but he did good for what I needed done

I have a long time fear and anxiety with dentist visits and I can say that my experience at Journal Square dental was pleasant, welcoming, and supportive. The staff (Geraldine, Amanda, Claudia, and Marilen) were an absolute pleasure. We had built a seamless relationship as soon as I scheduled my appointment. Dr. Rickerby himself was a trusted clinician and I will surely come back to him as long as I can. If anyone doesn't believe this is an unbiased review I would welcome a more detailed referral.
