Dr Kurt I Uyehara, Dr Kurt’s "right hand" Sharon, Dr David Itomura and staff (I don’t know all of their names yet) have exceeded my expectations as a new patient. They are all very professional, respectful, caring, calming, reassuring, positive human beings and make me feel "safe" as a new patient. Dr. Kurt is one of the most intelligent dental professionals I have ever met. He and Dr David are super personable and provide the most thorough dental care I have received. Sharon in the front is very friendly and does her absolute best to accommodate patient's busy schedules. This is the only dentist my family will be seeing - period.

I have had tmj for 40 years and dr Kurt is by far the best tmj specialist I have ever seen! He is very knowledgeable and thorough. He and his staff are kind and compassionate. I would highly recommend him!

I arrived on time for my appointment. A dental assistant came out, went through the waiting room and returned twice and never said a word. There was in excess of 10 pages worth of forms to fill out and several of the forms duplicated questions from the previous form. I never saw a patient come out of the treatment room the entire time I was in the waiting room. I left the waiting room after 45 minutes and not a single bit of communication from the receptionist or anyone else in the office. While I was waiting for the elevator to leave the building the receptionist came out and said they were ready to take me in. I took two hours off of work in the middle of the day only to be treated like "persons non grata" by the dentist and his staff. I declined to be taken in, thanked the receptionist, got on the elevator and returned to my office. Some physicians have no respect for their patients’ use of time spent waiting to be seen by them. I can only assume that this dentist has more business than he knows what to do with or he would have gotten me in the chair in a reasonable time frame. Waiting for me to complete 10 to 12 pages worth of forms is a poor excuse to delay treatment.

Staff was very friendly and helpful. Dr. Kurt was just awesome. He’s very knowledgeable and understanding with all his patients . Love him!

Exceptional! Dr. Uyehara is knowledgeable & not just your basic TMJ specialist. Very thorough. Best TMJ specialist on the island that’s for sure.
