I found Edgewater Dental by chance after moving to Chicago, and after about a year of being a patient here can firmly say that they are very worthy of a five-star review. The staff is incredibly friendly from the moment you check in, and always communicates pricing up front. Dr. Jackson is consistently professional and kind. They discovered I needed a filling during a cleaning appointment and did the procedure immediately, and I left with the problem completely resolved. On a different day, I had a bridge come off unexpectedly and was able to have it cemented only a few hours later. I would recommend them to anyone who has dental anxiety and wants a trustworthy, calm environment

If you value financial transparency, go somewhere else. I was told my filling would cost $X after insurance. I relied on that quote and proceeded with treatment. Weeks later, I was told the filling "wasn’t covered" and that I now owe significantly more. Insurance verification is a basic administrative function. Either it wasn’t done properly, or the office quoted me a number without actually confirming coverage. Both are unacceptable. It is incredibly frustrating to be financially blindsided after medical treatment has already been completed. This experience has completely eroded my trust in this practice.

Great team of hygienists and doctors! I came in for a regular cleaning and needed some un-expected work done. They fit me in while i was there which was so convenient. Would recommend!

Can’t thank this team enough for their kindness and trauma informed approach on my last visit. I’ve had some scary dental visits and they were so nice at calming me for my deep cleaning and extraction. I shared how nervous I was, and that cold water makes my brain panic a bit because I think nerve pain is next. They did extra novacaine from the start, warmer water, showed me what all the sensations would feel like before we started and allowed me to have my headphones in before the extraction. So lucky to have found this team! Thank you!!

Was very nervous since i haven’t been to the dentist is so long but everyone here made me feel comfortable and the dentist is so nice!!! Will be back in two weeks to get rid of the last two cavities I have. Just had braces placed at this same location and I’m very happy!!!! Erica put my braces on with no problem, if you’re thinking about any orthodontics care this office will be perfect for you.
